The human touch

A plan for you.
A chef behind it.

Consulting chef Erik Hoflick is a Red Seal Chef with nearly 30 years in hospitality. Fix That Dish brings that kitchen experience home through practical, remote guidance.

  1. 01. Choose your pathway.

Dinner party, a week of cooking lessons and cuisine exploration, or meal prep.

  2. 02. Answer the questionnaire.

Tell us about your kitchen, budget, available time, food needs, and what you want to learn.

  3. 03. Erik reviews your plan.

Erik reviews the plan as consulting chef before it is sent to you.

  4. 04. Get your plan and get cooking.

We prepare and send plans manually during this first stage. You use the guidance in your own kitchen.

Your starting point

A plan starts
with knowing you.

The onboarding questionnaire will help us shape the plan around your real kitchen and the way you eat.

These topics are collected in the linked intake form, along with your name, email, chosen pathway, grocery store preference, and flyer choice.

What we'll ask

  • Skill level
  • Budget
  • Equipment
  • Available time
  • Dietary preferences
  • Allergies
  • Foods you absolutely don't or won't eat
  • Cuisine or techniques you'd like to learn

Dinner parties

Be part of
your own party.

A great evening starts before anyone rings the doorbell. Build the cooking around your guest count, the kind of gathering you want, and what you feel comfortable making.

From a seated dinner to appetizers passed around the kitchen, the plan gives you a place to start and an order to follow.

A week of cooking

Learn by making
something delicious.

Start with the basics or explore a cuisine you've always wanted to try. Your week brings the lesson into the meals, so you're building confidence as you cook.

Tell us which meals you want to cover and what equipment you have. The plan starts there.

Meal prep

A little prep.
A clearer week.

Choose meals you want to come back to. Bring the shopping and cooking together into a practical batch plan, with quantities and a sequence you can follow.

Built around your schedule, your food preferences, and the kitchen space you've got.

Home cook sign-up

Tell us about your kitchen.

First 15 people to sign up get the service free. After the first 15, one-time $10 CAD, no added tax.

Complete your intake first. We review sign-up order and confirm whether your place is free before asking for payment.

Open the home cook intake form ↗

Paid service · Live Stripe checkout

One-time $10 CAD.

Payment will be via Stripe for a one-time $10 CAD payment.

Pay $10 CAD once via Stripe ↗

This button opens Stripe checkout. A completed payment charges $10 CAD once, with no tax added. Submit your intake first and wait for free-place confirmation. The first 15 sign-ups do not pay.

Good questions

Your questions, answered.

Do I need to be a good cook already?

No. Your starting point shapes the plan. Tell us what feels comfortable and what you'd like to learn.

Does a chef come to my house?

This is remote planning and guidance. You shop for the ingredients and do the cooking at home.

Are ingredients or prepared meals included?

You receive a cooking plan, rather than an ingredient box or meal delivery.

Can I explore a particular cuisine?

Yes. Cuisine exploration sits within Teach Me What to Cook This Week. Tell us what you'd like to explore and how experienced you are.

How do I get started?

Open the home cook intake form and tell us what you need. We confirm whether your sign-up is among the first 15 free places. After those places, the service is a one-time $10 CAD payment with no added tax. Do not pay until your free-place status is confirmed.
